I can remember back to yesteryear, prior to Wordpress, when I had to code my entire website by hand. Now a days, blogging platforms like Word Press and Blogger do the majority of the coding for you. You still need to know the basics of coding in case you accidentally make a mistake on your site or if you want to customize your website or blog. This books is a good tool for "those" people to have in their library.I've always loved the "Dummies" books. They are simple to understand and easy to navigate. And in true Dummies fashion, they have online resources listed in the back of the book. And, for those who want Dummies on the Go, there's an app for that.

I purchased this for my 11yr old daughter who is into computer technology and always wants to know more about computers. She kinda grumbled when she received it, but I am already seeing results that she is reading and understanding it. I believe this is a great book if you want to know the ins and outs of computer programming.

I have been readingg this book, but as with anything, you have to practice, practice, practice - and that demanads time I do not have to devote to it. It is easy reading though and I have been enjoying that.

Excellent resource for computer class. Impact of iPhone Uber and Airbnb. Html5,javascript and Python. Authentic info from a good software developer.

If you are interested in learning how to code for the web, but don't have much experience or knowledge, get this book first! It is an outstanding overview of all the latest information on creating content for the web experience.The book is clearly designed for those who know all the words but don't necessarily understand them. If you have worked in HTML in the past but need a refresher course on the latest coding languages, it is here. This modestly sized volume (only about 260 pages) covers everything you need to know to get up to speed with HTML 5, CSS, Javascript, Python and Ruby. These days, clients and employers (and users, whether they know it or not) are interested in responsive design and app creation, both are here with sections on Bootstrap and app creation. These days you want to make sure you are designing for the phone or tablet, that is all here.The book is lavishly illustrated (in color!) and demos are clear and easy to follow. There is also an outstanding section of resources and great advice on how to move forward in coding. I have done some computer coding and have used many resources to get better at it, but this was the best book I have used yet for giving me a big picture sense of the whole business.This is not a "college course in a book." No section is in depth enough to make you an expert on the subject, although for beginners the HTML and the CSS sections are very thorough, but there is enough here to get you pointed in the right direction.

I'm a Human Resource major. This is a a great introducterory level book. Of course if your class requires this book then you won't care about how the book compliments the class.What you want to know is the condition.Overall it was in good condition. All of the pages were there and the book was structurally sound. The only gripe I have is that people wrote in this book quite a bit. Some of it didn't make any sense. It progressively became worse throughout the semester. Its not to bad where I couldn't read the book, but it was a little bit distracting sometimes.

I had to purchase this book for a business law class that I took, I am glad that I have kept onto this book because there have been some times when I really needed to look up some information about the legal processes involved in daily business operations. I was able to look back and refer to this book to answer some questions that I had, as well as going into detail and explaining the different legal business aspects that every business needs to learn how to deal with.

This textbook is a lot easier to read and understand than I expected. When I found out I had to take business law I was kind of annoyed but it was my easiest book to read this semester! The examples are real world examples and you can even research the cases and get more information (I know I needed to for my assisgnments). I've definitely recommended this book for other friends who are taking this class with other professors and struggling. It's so much easier for them to understand!

Wish I could afford the new addition. This book is really good, easy to read and comprehend. That's important with business law because of how many things there are to understand and memorize.

Its hard to love a text book, but this is well written and useful. Lots of information. The Kindle edition works great, except I wish they would improve the highlight capability to add more colors, and do it quickly. Also, my Kindle Pc app has a default setting which is to not remember where I was in the book when the app was last closed.

If you're buying this, it's kind of a "required" purchase. But as far as school books go. I have to say this one is organized well and easy to read and understand. The sidebar questions are relevant too. Other than that, it's a college book.

I got this as a Father's Day gift because my dad loves all kinds of tropical drinks and when we have family or friends over, he likes to make new things (plus my parents have an abundance of liquor from a party that they're trying to get rid of). This fun and clever picture book is just as entertaining for adults as for the kids! My son and I enjoyed scouring the words and illustrations for all of the great math puns. It's a fun way to introduce math concepts or to review with older kids. They'll enjoy spotting them throughout the book.The mystery kept us flipping pages.The Private "I" reminded me of Detective Joe Friday :-) . Fun picture book!

I just love Tar Lazar's humorous view of the world! Her fabulous sense of humor is evident in all her books. She is a wonderful author and knows exactly how to relate to kids. A laugh out loud book with all the puns and math humor. I couldn't stop giggling. It most definitely brings out the kid in you. A must for every bookshelf and library collection. This book should be in every dentist and doctor's office so kids can chuckle and forget about their visit. Love it!!

This book was cracking me up. The story is funny and will make kids and adults laugh. I felt like I should be using my best narrator's voice from Dragnet! Thanks for another wonderful children's story!

Mrs. Lazar is an amazing author! Her children come to our orthodontic practice and she always comes in with a smile and her newest books for the office. The books are such a great read for all of our patients and they always get such a thrill when new ones come in!Thanks again Mrs. Lazar!

I really like this book. It is for probably third grade or older, but the use of idioms and puns is great. If reading it to younger children, the reader would need to point out some of the less obvious puns, but the illustrations help. I have shared it with adults and we have laughed together.

To both a numbers obsessed grandson and a word obsessed Nana and teacher, this book is the best! My five year old grandson loves 7 Ate 9, and I have shared it with a group of older kids also. Each time I read it, I find more clever little tidbit that I missed the first time. I can't say enough great things about this book! Thanks for another winner, Tara Lazar!

This book is hysterical! I bought it mostly because I am tired of the more straightforward and predictable book formats. complete with puns and lots of thought provoking lines...I know my kindergartner will enjoy this for many years.

I bought this book for my 5 year old nephew for Christmas. The story is very engaging with delightful wordplay, and the illustrations are fun and add to the story. This isn't a book to drill numbers, but it increases familiarity with numerical images and concepts. I highly recommend it.
