This text is clearly written from a western Protastant Christian point of view, so if like me you are not part of that stream of thinking and Christianity some due diligence is needed to weed out the Protestantism and drive to the text.That being said, it is a poor excuse of understanding biblical law. The author tries to tie American jurisprudence and biblical law together as if they are synonymous, which they are not.Sadly to say was extremely disappointed, typically books written 40+ years ago are of a better caliber.Unless one is a law student, this text is nearly useless.

What a great reference! To answer the people that think the Bible is irrelevant to American law we need to remember that Blackstone traces Common law from two original sources, the Bible and natural law. The Bible says man is corrupt so God revealed many standards and laws (IE 10 Commandments) to restrain our conduct for our best interests. Even creation itself reveals the order of natural law and invisible qualities of design by the Designer so we are without excuse. The harmony of Common law and Supreme law with original source law was ordinary to the Church and State alike in early America so people could nary claim ignorance to the law because it was written on their hearts! This is an impossibility with today’s mountain of arbitrary legislation made at the rage of lawless leaders! Lawmakers are obligated to observe Supreme law because arbitrary law leads to chaos. Blackstone and Locke would concur that the right of conscience of every citizen and duty of every leader is to uphold Supreme Law. Natural law today is twisted to mean evolving arbitrary law, feelings and consensus has replaced right and wrong, for the convenience of tyrants who wish to rule by executive order instead of uphold the Constitution!

The finest kind of writing on the topic I've ever seen. It is detailed and uses sound reason process to establish and expound good common sense. This is highly recommended, even by those who believe God's Laws are to be kept. Those who do not believe they should be kept will only be looking for criticizing or condemnation of this book and even the Most High God himself. But none of them have yet shown me their rendition of what would make the world of man on Earth any better and they themselves not practicing and promoting God's ways can't say it is bad and have a leg to stand on. To simply call upon philosophy and liberal (not the same as liberty) permissiveness and not having justice but allow arbitrary sentencing and unbounded "do what ever you want when you want" mindset, is really ridiculous and immature.

Clark neglects to tell us that Thomas Jefferson did a thorough study of English Common Law and discovered it was created before the introduction of Christianity into England, thus destroying Clark's entire premise.The best part of the entire article promoting this book: "Generally it will be seen that Biblical Law is no less sound and usable today than when it first was written."Really sums up the whole topic. Walter Perez is a photographer and naturalist who has been working in the Galápagos for two decades. His award-winning photograph of a Great Frigatebird stealing nesting material from a Red-footed Booby, Battle of the Sticks, which is featured in this book, is on permanent display at the University of Connecticut’s Stamford campus. He lives in Galápagos, Ecuador. Michael Weisberg is a science educator, documentary filmmaker, and philosopher of science at the University of Pennsylvania, where he codirects the Galápagos Education and Research Alliance, which conducts science, education, and conservation initiatives in the Galápagos. He lives in Philadelphia.

This book is a masterpiece of photography and natural history background information. The species and location labels are perfect for basic knowledge and for more in-depth study of the biodiversity of Galapagos. The attention to detail within the photography adds a deep dimension to the biodiversity intricacies as well. This is the perfect book for someone who has traveled to Galapagos, has dreamed of it, or is interested in delving deeper into a study of species found there. I am a teacher who recently completed an expedition to Galapagos and this book is perfect to help retell the study I completed, further my own study, and use with my students.

If you want to visit the Galapagos Islands this book is a must and will have you wanting to plan your trip! One of the authors, Walter Perez, was one of our naturalist guides and I found him to be incredibly knowledgable and respectful of the Islands and the unique wildlife of the Galapagos Islands. This knowledge and respect are on full display in this book; the whole book is full of stunning shots of whole array of creatures, big and small, land and sea. The pictures capture the most incredible moments of the different species in their unique landscape at the most amazing moments!
