Many people Believe in different forms of Christianity, go to church, participate but do not understand the underlying principles behind what they believe. I was one of those until I read this book. And I ordered this book in Spanish for my friend who doesn't read English. It has given us a lot of things to talk about. She is Catholic and I am Evangelical Christian, although raised Catholic. It is easy to read and should be required reading for any Christian believer no matter what denomination. No wonder Mr. CS Lewis is called a Classic, his words are as timely as ever!

Catalyst knows how to make quality Battletech Sci-Fi material and this Tech Readout is no exception. I like that the new mechs, vehicles, and battle armor are nicely spread out to almost every faction in the Inner Sphere. So if you really like a specific House, Clan, Periphery state, or the Republic you should not be disappointed. I also like how Catalyst made previously experimental weapons mainline weapons. For example: improved heavy gauss rifle, improved heavy lasers, X-pulse lasers, VSP (Variable Speed Pulse) lasers, streak lrms, ER flamer, TSEMP (Tight-Stream-Electro-Magnetic-Pulse), etc. I noticed that there is a large amount of Inner Sphere and Clan tech mixture in this book which at first I did not agree with, but now I think it's a good thing. My only complaint is that some of the artwork is MEH.If you haven't already check out the website Sarna. Each faction has there own technical readout for 3145 and there are a ton of awesome new units that were not included in this readout.Included in this Tech Readout:14 Battle Armor24 Vehicles52 Mechs (14 Omni Mechs)4 Aerospace Fighters6 Dropships and other Craft

TRO 3145 was again another $40 release, so I gulped and picked it up anyhow as I have been a player since Battledroids. This is not as good as 3075, however, the Units are certainly more enjoyable than those provided in 3085.However… BE WARNED… this book is not as thick as 3075 and 3085… as it has fallen prey to the $5 PDF faction based TRO Supplements… though those PDF’s are not as good as the previous ones from 3085 as much of the items from this TRO are repeated in them. With space being taken up by the Superheavy and Quad-Vee rules it served as “salt in the wound”, which we have not seen since 2750 and 3050 spent time on Inner Sphere Lost Tech and the arrival of Clan New Tech.I was also a little annoyed at their attempts to continue to conceal the sequestering of the Fortress Republic in the text though, as these TRO’s are supposed to be written in the future looking back at that time. I mean really guys… we are lucky to get most of our fellow players to read the supplements… much less read the novels to discover the answers. Otherwise, as you can imagine, this TRO is all Click-Tech aka Mech Warrior Dark Age (MWDA) into the “classic” Battletech universe.Regardless of that, I was thrilled with the introduction of the 3145 Superheavies from the Republic of the Sphere – as well as the rules to create your own!!! However, I was irritated that yet again the Word of Blake (WOB) 150ton Omega was excluded from the TRO. This would have been a perfect place for it to be duplicated, and cheapens the value of Jihad Final Reckoning to just be for that information.I was also intrigued by the Quad-Vee concept, which felt a lot like Dana Sterling’s Robotech Hovertank, or perhaps more like Dream Pod 9’s Gearkreig hybrids. They did take the time to provide the rules to make your own - however – they provided only a single example of this new Mecha / Vehicle hybrid.Anyhow… Tripods and Quad-Vee’s oh my!

Book is a great source of knowledge of the BT universe and I like the return to old layout with all the background info, variants and personalities. Artwork is generally good with only a few high school sketches. Need to put the new weapon & electronics info in the back like 3050. I like the colossal Mechs!!! just strange that they all have to be 3 legged, you would think a 4 legged mech could even go higher in tonnage. Looking for more info on the systems and background, truthfully just getting back into Battletech after a few years so the amount of data I am sorting through is mountain.

As a huge fan of Battletech, I enjoy reading the Tech readouts,, and this was no exception. The artwork is varied, but generally pretty high quality. While the book is not as large as 3085, it still contains a good number of vehicles. Another interesting fact is that many Inner sphere mechs now possess clan weapons as a default. While some do not like this mixing, it further helps to show how during the Inner Sphere and Clans are slowly merging back together into a new galactic-political soup.While this book provides some very good new vehicles, and helps to further explore the dark age, there are a few issues that I had with the book. First, while there are many mechs and tanks, there are limited power armor, infantry and other vehicles. So while the selection is pretty good, it again is not as impressive a selection as the 3085 Readout. Now my biggest issue comes from the text that accompanies each vehicle. First, just as in previous Tech Readouts it can be difficult to see which powers make use of a vehicle, as often only a single power, or in some cases only the company who manufactured it are mention. This can force a person who wants to play a pure force, to go to the master lists site to see if a vehicle was commonly used by that power. Second, and this was the biggest negative point, comes from a disparity between the writers and the actual stats of the vehicle. Now in the Dark Age Clan Wolf, House Liao, and House Kurita are in ascendance as major powers, while the Republic, House Davion and others are either stagnating or have been in decline. I expected this to be reflected in the text, however this was not the case. Most descriptions of the more powerful nations sing praise and laud over how great many of these nations new mechs are, when in fact a good portion are mediocre or average in their stats(with the exception of Wolf). In contrast most house Davion or Republic mechs are described in negative tones, or even go so far as to use that vehicles text to describe a victory of one that nations rivals over that vehicle. Most of these vehicles are described as disappointing or faulty to the point of being a mistake, but when one looks at the stats they find that they are very highly rated mechs and powerful by comparison(A great example is the new Black Knight variant). The effect is that it leaves the impression that either the writers or the person in charge of the book was playing favorites or holding a grudge, rather than trying to appeal to the entire battletech audience which is a very long lived audience, with a great deal of diversity.So all in all, it is a pretty good book, but the negative tone is what prevented me from giving it a complete 5 star rating.

The content of this book is comprehensive, but some examples in the 13th edition (latest edition) are incorrect. For example on page 158, problem 10 has two valid answers, A and E.Hopefully next editions will correct some of these mistakes.

The book is very good. It was the main reason that I got an 800. But the problem with the book is that the explanations to the answer choices can be very vague or not make sense at times. It goes into more than any other test prep book but in terms of its presentation the barons math level 1 is better.

I do not post cookbook reviews. So often the books fall short and are not worth the effort. This one, however, is worthy of a review. I purchased this book on Kindle for my IPad. It is easy to maneuver through the book and quickly click to go to a recipe. The recipes are all quite simple in both ingredients and preparation. There has not been a bad recipe in the bunch. The French Bread recipe could not be easier or better, and frankly the recipe alone was worth the $2.99 Kindle price. If you are looking for classic foods with ingredients you can find everywhere, this book is perfect.

If you don't yet read Mark Bittman, if you don't spend time in the kitchen, if you shop the inside aisles in the supermarket, buy this book. Bittman will open your eyes and bring joy and adventure to your kitchen and your table. And you will soon want to read all that he has written. He is, quite simply, a national treasure and a constant companion in anyone's kitchen. This book will have a place in my kitchen for a half century or so.

I was already a fan of Mark Bittman from his New York Times column and videos and from another of his cookbooks How to Cook Everything The Basics: All You Need to Make Great Food -- With 1,000 Photos. I feel that I really learned a lot from that book and this one picks up where it leaves off with a wide selection of additional recipes. My favorite marinade for beef comes from P. 159 of this book, The Minimalist's Marinated Steak. Pretty much every course and ingredient is covered from soups, salads, pasta and bread, meats, vegetables, and desserts. There are some things I wouldn't have expected, like fairly quick and easy recipes for both roast chicken and roast duck. There are suggestions for pretty much every type of seafood. Each of the main recipes in all sections is accompanied by several variations.There is a definite international influence here, some of it Asian. You'll need ginger, soy sauce, Hoisin sauce, fresh limes, and perhaps even some lemon grass to make everything. However you will also find things from Italy and even a Spanish paella. I have been following the South Beach diet and I was glad to see that so many of the recipes here would qualify for South Beach Phase 2 which is the part of the plan where most time is spent.This book collects, as it says on the cover, recipes which were originally published as three separate cookbooks, so you might want to skip it if you already own one or two of the original books. Also, there are no photos or other illustrations, so this isn't for people who like to flip through nice color photographs of the completed dishes for inspiration. However, if you are comfortable sitting down and reading through all the choices here, I expect that you will find some things, as I did, that you'll be making again and again.

This book is great. I'm a big fan of Mr. Bittman, so I already have a few of the "How to..." books. (They also make great gifts!) The recipes are easy, good for new cooks, or for people looking for some new ideas.

Nice but the print is hard to read - smaller size and very light color of type makes it hard to read.

Best recipes ever! Several have become favorite go-to recipes for my family AND guests. I always get raves.

I love this cookbook and go to these kinds of recipes most often. While I have to agree with one of the reviewers that I do prefer cookbooks with pictures, Bitmann's Quick & Easy is wonderful for last minute great ideas. I attended a culinary writing seminar 3 years ago and when I brought up this publication with the published instructor and her agent, I was just about laughed out of the room. "Pour and dump," they said, "is not culinary expertise." I beg to differ. I think it is the highest form of culinary expertise: to take what is already in your kitchen and perform magic. This is exactly what Bittman has done, given us a manual for creating magic out of simple, everyday ingredients. While I do not live in an urban center with all kinds of fresh fish, for example, available to me on my way home from work, I AM looking for an easy way to create something smashing in the least amount of time possible. And I, personally, am of the humble opinion that this is what most "foodies" today want: a reprieve from convenience and fast food to please their palettes. Whole foods and tasty ingredients do give us that, if we know how to manipulate them. I love this book and it, and other publications like it, take the forefront of my extensive recipe collection.

Loved it! I frequently decide a meal in the grocery store. Having the book on my phone lets me get all the correct ingredients without guessing and forgetting items. All the standards are here.

There aren't in text citations or sources cited, but the information was legit any way. It would have been nice if the pages were numbered too, but it was worth the purchase either way. The informations was useful, probably even more for someone who has never researched sport psychology. My favorite tip is changing the perception of fear. Instead of looking fearfully at the obstacle in front of us, look fearfully at not progressing or missing the opportunity all together. The same fear can be moved out of your way and placed behind you.

Very interesting read so far. Definitely humanizes the sport of boxing to a degree. If anyone ever wants to break into boxing or anything else for that matter that stuggles with fear or confidence issues. This is the perfect book for you. Also if you are a Tyson fan, this book is a must have.

Terrible. So many typos and jumbled together material for the most part nonsense barely is a full book. There is some wisdom there but they are really riding on Cus' coattails to even mention him in the title.

This book is something , i was trying to mark what is important with a pencil so now basically all book is grey , if you are a boxer and you have problems or u are not confident enough this book is for you , I read it in a couple hours, I mean this book knows how to keep you focused on the info what’s in , everything is clear for understanding! Brilliant book !

Not very detailed in the philosophical or practical aspects of how he trained his fighters. Not what I expected.

Taking the mindset in this book to heart is something that can propel you in all rings, not just boxing.

Reading the book reminds me of the power of positive thinking...as well as...acting. It is a series of phrases, quotes, and life statements, but not a novel nor biography. It's ok.
